Last chance to win a van to park on your chest!

May 29, 2009

Project Industries is at Portobello West again!
Check out the Portobello West video!  You won't see my booth here because it was shot the month before I started attending.

Project Industries has a full booth (twice the space as last time) at the Portobello West Fashion + Art Market happening this Sunday, May 31.

The reason I got a full booth is because I wanted to be able to showcase the artwork on the clothing better than I was able to last time.  I also didn't want there to be any confusion about what my booth was all about.  Another good reason is now my fellow projectors can come and there will be room to actually hang out.  People watching is a great time and it's easy to do at this event, so come on by and see the gear, people watch, and have a few laughs.

There won't be a promo discount phrase for Facebook fans this time because apparently some people had a hard time saying "I thought Portobello was a mushroom" last time.  You know who you are and I'm still laughing.  I'd "lol" here, but I fucking hate "lol" with a fury.  So I'm just going to sit here grinning.

There will be a promo though...

Sale Details

This Sunday is also the last day you can enter...

I Want To Park A Van On My Chest

...So yeah, drop on by before or after your beach visit and fill out a ballot!  I'll like you better.  How's THAT for peer pressure mm?
For all the details, visit the Portobello West Fashion + Art Market website.

Hope to see you there!
Jamie

Who wants to win a Van Hoodie?

I Want To Park A Van On My Chest

Please don't try to park actual vans on your body.  You'd think I wouldn't have to say anything, but I'm sure there's some mouth-breather north of Saskatoon who has the internet and now thinks he and his pals have something to do after successfully partying through some random Tuesday morning -- to AC/DC and Nickelback.  So again...don't park actual vans on your body.

But hey...want a free hoodie with a van on it instead?  Studies have shown that most people need a free hoodie with the super dope Project Industries van on it.  By "studies" I mean "study."  And by "study" I mean I used my Facebook status to gauge the interest level of a contest wherein the prize is one of my hoodies from Project 001: The Vans.
So here we are.  Let's get to the details shall we?

First, the prizes.
Men's Hoodie  |  Women's Hoodie
Raquel and Laurent are wearing them in the image on the right too.  Sweeeeet.

Secondly, as the graphic above suggests, it's not so much a contest as it is a draw.  In fact that's all it is; a draw.  How great is that right?  Don't you kind of feel like you just sat down at a test only to find it's multiple choice?!  AWESOME right?  I know!  That means you're not going to have to eat any really gross shit like old cheese or old snot and document it. Nor will you need to do really dangerous things with fire and rabies and document it, or write me long creative stories about why you need a hoodie to live the rest of your life a happy person (stories I'd likely not read past the first spelling mistake because I'm a snob like that).

Nope.
All you have to do is add yourself to the Project Industries mailing list.
It's just that easy!

HOW TO ADD YOURSELF TO THE PROJECT INDUSTRIES MAILING LIST

There are 2 ways to add yourself to the Project Industries mailing list and be eligible to win:

  1. Go to the Project Industries Contact page between your reading this blog and Sunday, May 31.  Send off a message with "Van Hoodie Contest" as the subject and indicating in the message whether you're male or female and what size* hoodie you're going to win (hey, stay positive champ!)
  2. Come fill out a ballot and loiter around the Project Industries booth at the Portobello West Fashion + Art Market on Sunday, May 31.

The winner will be drawn on Monday, June 1, and will be notified by email.

Now I know what you're thinking...
"Uh yeah, sure Project Industries, I add myself to your list and then I'm going to get all sorts of spam and grow to resent you."

No way friends, no way.  Spam emails annoy me enough to want to punch babies too, don't worry.  Currently, the only times I send out emails are to announce the following anyway:

  • The release of new projects
  • Project Industries' participation at upcoming shows
  • New stores carrying Project Industries
  • Contests and draws
  • Special offers
  • My winning the lottery

As you can tell we've done our best to insure there won't be a tonne of useless info headed your way.  My hope is that you enjoy this site and are interested enough in the apparel/artwork that these emails are actually something you enjoy seeing in your inbox.

Well that's it!  Good luck!
Jamie

The Samurai Is Unleashed!
Oh, and there is also headgear...

May 10, 2009

FYI, Samurai > Ninja

Ninjas are seriously so played out don't you think?  I mean when the term 'ninja' is being used to describe anyone who is good at any job, then it's over.  "Oh yeah Vince over there is a regular taco building ninja!"  Are you serious?!  Please shut the fuck up, take your ball and go home.  It's over.  Sad really.

I like the Samurai better than the ninja -- that is when they're not being portrayed by Hollywood's favourite assclown, Tom Cruise.  I mean, why sneak around under cover of night in black pyjamas when you can roam around in glorious robes and armor, waving a katana around (that's the über cool sword thing that makes that über cool "shhhhhwiiiiiinnnnnggg" noise when it's being waved around in the movies usually featuring aforementioned assclown).  As a Samurai, you could be super menacing for all to see; you could do it at like 10:30am outside a Quizno's no problem.  So sweet.  So.  Sweet.

In honour of the noble Samurai...this is Project 002: Samurai.

This project features three designs offered in short sleeve tees and hoodies for both guys and gals.  The Samurai will make a pretty kick ass addition to any casual or street look you might be throwing together.  The Samurai will also make you look tough, but not in that super douchy Ed Hardy way.  Check out the catalogue gallery, and if you like what you see, head into the store and pick some up!

I've also released the first design in a non-limited edition hat project called Project 003: Headgear.  I call it simply Military Cap.  Project 003: Headgear will have other lids available soon.

Check out the latest photoshoot gallery for the Samurai project! It features all of the current Project Industries lines.

All three of the designs in the Samurai project are limited to 40 prints; 20 each for men and women. Get yours today!
